Texas Bluebonnets!

It's that time of year and if you live in Texas, you never want to miss out getting pictures in the bluebonnets! They are beautiful! We look forward to them EVERY year! This year, we got them done as a family by Rhonda who's an amazing photographer and friend! The kids weren't really cooperative but that's just their personality. I think they turned out great!
Enjoy Ya'll!

First Father Son Project ~ By Chad

We have a bench that has been an ornamental piece on our front porch since the the day we moved in to our home in June of 2003. This bench was a gift to Melissa from her late Grandmother who passed soon after. Needless to say it is a special piece to her. After 6 years it has become extremely weathered and instead of replacing it Aiden and I though it would mean a lot to Mom if we gave it a face lift so we headed to Home Depot. He is quite the helper. We picked up all of the materials we needed and headed home to get started. The attention span of a 3 year old is rather short but in between riding his bike and fighting with his brother we managed to make some progress. It took a few days of working on it but we put the finishing touches on it yesterday. Bryson even helped put it back together. A dad couldnt be any more proud of his 3 year old son than when both of us are lying on our backs and he is holding a piece while I screwed it. Congradulations Mom, your new bench is ready to sit on hopefully for another 6 years.

Boys will be Boys!

Our boys are definitely BOYS!!! They don't share, they wrestle, fight, push. kick, spit, fart, burp, pee in the grass, put their hands in their pants, wear out the knees in their pants, etc. Man, I have a lot to teach them before they start dating or maybe I should let them carry on this way and then I'll never have to worry about girls! LOL!

It's really funny, they fight ALL the time but they really love each other VERY much! Bryson even tells his brother he's sorry even when it's not his fault. Oh and "I'm sorry" always come with hugs in this house. Aiden has a hard time using his words lately and has been screaming at his brother when he makes him mad. This mostly happens when Bryson gets done eating all of his food and then goes after Aiden's! LOL!

Aiden is about to turn 4! He's my little adventurer! He loves the outdoors! Mom actually bought him his first adventure set for Christmas. He still loves it and plays with it! He like to find worms, lady bugs, grasshoppers, rolly pollies, lizard's, etc. He is also going to be daddy's little hunter. He would rather watch hunting or fishing than cartoons on TV! They went to the deer lease this weekend and Chad let him drive the BIG 4 wheeler all by himself. Good thing I wasn't there or I would have had a panic attack! I love him so much!
Bryson is 2 now! He cracks me up! He my little singer! Check out the video below! Pay attention to the eyes. So cute! He loves to sing "I Love You Mommy" and of course has to go through every one's name that we know. I would say his second favorite song is B-I-N-G-O! His latest thing is to say "And" after each sentence. So, he would say "I want to go to the park AND I want to eat AND I want to ride my Tricycle" and this goes on forever. We really need to get busy with potty training. He takes his diaper off every time it's full (of anything)! Good thing it's nice outside now so most of the time whatever is in there that's not absorbed goes on the grass. KWIM? He's my baby! I love him more than life!

Why I've decided to Blog.....

It has been really difficult to keep up with all of the kids milestones. I started scrapbooking and unfortunately, I fell so far behind and have put it on the back burner. One day, when I have a HUGE room just for scrapping, I will get back into it. I also used to send pictures and updates through my email on a regular basis. I don't remember that last time I did that. So, now I'm hoping to fall back in love with writing by blogging so I can capture all of our Hatton Family Adventures and keep all of you updated on a more regular basis. I'm hoping I can even get Chad to post!

We have a lot of fun things planned this year, so fasten your seat belts and get ready to take a ride on the Hatton Family adventure tour!

I hope you will visit our blog often!

Love,
The Hatton's
